Total
chemical process industry (CPI) sealing performance will be the
keynote of DuPont Performance Elastomers ACHEMA 2006 line-up of
Viton® fluoroelastomers (FKM) and Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer
(FFKM) parts - combining the latest advances in chemical, temperature
and pressure resistance in virtually all process media, with demonstrated
cost savings over process equipment lifetime. The company will
showcase FDA compliant types of Viton® GF-600S, Viton®
Extreme™ ETP-600S, industry standard Viton® A-401C fluoroelastomers
for critical process sealing, and Kalrez® Spectrum™
6375 and 7075 for the most aggressive CPI environments.
"Mark
of Genuine Viton®"
FDA
compliant types of Viton® GF-600S and Viton® Extreme™
ETP-600S fluoroelastomers, made with Advanced Polymer Architecture,
have been developed specially for critical pharmaceutical, food
and beverage process sealing where repeat use and food contact
compliance is required. Viton® A-401C is designed to set a
new industry standard by offering excellent resistance to compression
set and to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. These recent developments,
as with all Viton® types, are available through the company's
"Genuine Viton®" program which provides assurance
that the sealing products are made of 100 percent Viton®.

Performance Elastomers Viton® GF-600S, Viton® Extreme™
ETP-600S and Viton® A-401C fluoroelastomers, featured at ACHEMA,
covering many of the industry’s most challenging chemical
process sealing needs.
Kalrez®
affordability
For
high-end FFKM sealing, DuPont Performance Elastomers will highlight
Kalrez® Spectrum™ 6375 - enabling users to economise
around one instead of two or three sealing compounds in inventory
, and Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7075 - providing extended seal
life, sealing force retention and thermal resistance up to 327°C
in the most aggressive CPI environments. The company will also
demonstrate the affordability of Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer
seals via industry data showing how savings of up to 98 percent
in total system running costs are possible by switching to Kalrez®.

Kalrez® Spectrum™ 6375 and Kalrez® Spectrum™
7075 perfluoroelastomer parts versus EPDM and FKM di-polymer in
the most aggressive CPI environments.
Anti-corrosion
seminar
DuPont Performance Elastomers will host an anti-corrosion
seminar in partnership with DuPont at 13.30 on 17 May, 2006, in
room Fantasie 2, Frankfurt Congress Centre. Norbert Bothe, applications
consultant for Kalrez®, will update chemical process engineers
on cost-effective seal selections for the most difficult chemical
environments, including custom parts designed by state-of-the-art
FEA methods to meet DIN 11864 specifications, in his paper "Kalrez®
Perfluoroelastomer Parts – Sealing Solutions for Challenging
Needs". Pre-register now via Martin.Brueckdeu.dupont.com
