Our specialty is solving sealing problems for original equipment manufacturers. Viton® and Viton® Extreme™ ETP O-rings and Seals

Viton® fluoroelastomer has excellent (400°F/200°C) heat resistance and is very resistant to aggressive fuels and chemicals. There are four families of Viton® polymers: A, B, F and Viton® Extreme™ ETP.

Kalrez® O-rings and Seals

Kalrez® resists over 1,800 different chemicals while offering high temperature stability (600°F/316°C). It is used in highly aggressive chemical processing, semiconductor wafer processing and other demanding sealing applications.

Elastomers for O-rings and Seals

Choosing the right elastomer for your application is very important. If you are not careful you can choose the very best, such as a Viton® Extreme™ seal or Kalrez® o-ring, when a cheaper elastomer would actually work better.

Elastomer Properties

The proper o-ring and seal design depends on a knowledge of many elastomer properties such as hardness, tensile strength, compressive response, compression set, stress relaxation, abrasion resistance and tear resistance.

Seal Design Theory

The use of an o-ring as a seal is mainly to prevent the transfer of fluid (liquid, solid or gas) between two or more regions. Successful seal design ensures adequate seal compressive force while minimizing the destructive stress acting on the o-ring.

AS568A O-ring Sizes

AS568A o-ring sizes are standard throughout the o-ring industry and also in most military applications. We carry all AS568A sizes, many non-standard metric sizes and can manufacture any o-ring size to your specifications.
