DuPont Dow Previews Newest Member of Kalrez® Spectrum™ Family For the Chemical Processing Industry

In the first expansion of its Kalrez® Spectrum™ product line designed specifically for the Chemical Processing Industry, DuPont Dow Elastomers unveils its most recent high-performance product, Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7075, at the Pump Symposium in Houston, Texas, on March 17. The Spectrum™ family of products was originally launched in 1999 with the introduction of Kalrez® Spectrum™ 6375. Now, DuPont Dow Elastomers announces the commercial availability of Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7075.

Designed as a high-performance offering for critical sealing components, Kalrez® Spectrum™ 7075 perfluoroelastomer parts build on the exceptional performance of Kalrez® 4079, the industry standard for severe sealing applications. Customers will benefit from longer seal life and increased mean time between repairs (MTBR) due to the benefits of 7075 performance including:

• Very low compression set at 204°C for 70 hours (15%)
• Enhanced sealing force retention
• Higher thermal resistance, up to 326°C (620°F)

In addition, 7075 offers broader chemical resistance and better cool down set recovery than Kalrez® 4079, and provides a smoother, glossier finish than other Kalrez® products.

Both Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts and Viton® fluoroelastomers from DuPont Dow will exhibit at the Pump Symposium at Booth 546. Technical experts will be available to discuss their latest products as well as answer questions about sealing issues.
